IPL

IPL technology uses powerful pulses of light. These pulses are attracted to the melanin (pigment) in your hair. The light energy cauterises the hair root, the outcome being a significant reduction in hair growth. However, there must be a significant difference between your skin tone and hair colour making this treatment unsuitable for those with grey or blonde hair in the area of treatment. With regular maintenance, you will have a significant reduction in unwanted hair. 

SHR

SHR is s technology that we offer here at Sanctuary. This technology heats your skin's surface gradually with low energy but high frequency. As a result, it has the ability to treat hair growth painlessly and much quicker than traditional methods. This is why SHR is extremely comfortable and safe for clients wishing to treat larger areas such as legs or back, or more sensitive areas such as the bikini line and Brazilian area. SHR is faster, safer and gentler on your skin and delivers visible results.

CONTRAINDICATIONS

IPL Skin treatments may not be suitable for you if you are taking photosensitizing medication such as Roaccutane, suffer from a skin disorder, epilepsy, diabetes, have a pacemaker, skin cancer, autoimmune disease, metal implants.

A comprehensive consultation is required and a test patch will be performed prior to your first treatment. Skin preparation may be required and this will be discussed at the time of consultation, as will the number of treatments required which will vary depending on your skin concern.
